SUCCESS STORY
Sardana Nakul of Azyro Infratech
In 2019, Nakul Sardana, founder and CEO of Azyro Infratech, sought the support of trAIDe. His company, a leading player in sustainability, waste and energy, wanted to integrate European technologies into the Indian waste market. This partnership with trAIDe was not only to promote knowledge sharing but also to develop effective business strategies for successful collaboration.
Initial situation
Azyro Infratech, an Indian waste management and technology company, faced the challenge of introducing European technologies and expertise to the Indian waste management market. The company was looking for opportunities to create a bilateral partnership to share technology expertise and jointly develop effective business strategies. With an annual turnover of 131,652 euros and seven employees, Azyro Infratech had clear ambitions.
What we did:
In collaboration with trAIDe, Azyro Infratech began a comprehensive programme in 2019 to achieve its goals. During the programme, strategic partnerships were established with German companies, in particular with Proweps envirotec. This was achieved through visits to German companies and individual meetings. Azyro Infratech also received training to understand intercultural differences, how German companies operate and how to conduct successful discussions. The focus was also on the importance of work-life balance in German culture. In addition, Azyro Infratech participated in B2B meetings and trade fairs in Germany to explore different solutions.
Supported by trAIDe, Azyro Infratech received valuable information on how to approach German business partners and conduct successful B2B meetings. trAIDe encouraged the company and strengthened their confidence in the importance of their business. Thorough preparation was carried out before contacting German business partners.
Results:
The collaboration with trAIDe led to the creation of a strategic partnership with Proweps envirotec in 2021, which included export and import services. As a result, seven projects worth around 550,000 euros were confirmed.
The partnership with Proweps envirotec enabled Azyro Infratech to introduce advanced waste management technologies in India. Especially in pre-treatment, where the organic waste is treated prior to hydrolysis and anaerobic digestion, the processing speed and gas yield were significantly increased. This technology has already been successfully implemented in the Indore project and is now being proposed in three other biogas plants in North, South and Central India with capacities of 300 tonnes per day, 800 tonnes per day and 500 tonnes per day respectively.
In addition, Azyro Infratech has been able to implement highly efficient and cost-effective strategies for waste management and sustainability. The proposed technology increased efficiency by 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10 and reduced operating costs by 3-5%. The company saw a significant increase in financial growth and employee satisfaction by 30% and 78% respectively. Azyro Infratech also gained significant insight and expertise, which greatly enhanced the company’s capabilities and enabled it to deliver exceptional results for clients and stakeholders. The company also partnered with two major project developers in the biogas sector in India and two consulting firms.
The partnership with Proweps envirotec resulted in a strengthened brand reputation and significant benefits for Azyro Infratech. Overall, the collaboration with trAIDe has been a great success and has strengthened Azyro Infratech’s position in the Indian waste management and technology market and opened up future opportunities.
