2023- Water management exhibition as part of the joint project in Egypt

Summary of the project 2023- Water management exhibition as part of the joint project in Egypt

An exciting review of the German water industry exhibition in Egypt from 26.11.2023 to 30.11.2023. It was a successful project by trAIDe GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). In cooperation with the local partner Chemonics Consultants, a successful platform for market development in Egypt was created, where small and medium-sized German companies presented their innovative water and wastewater solutions.

As part of the joint project Egypt – Water and Wastewater Management, the exhibition looks back on an intensive preparation phase, individual matchmaking plans and a dedicated landing page, which led to an average of 6 successful B2B appointments per German company on site. The participants not only delved deep into the Egyptian water industry, but also visited the Al Gabal Al Asfar wastewater treatment plant, one of the world’s largest wastewater treatment plants, which is characterized by its unprecedented size and historical significance in water treatment.

Despite financial challenges and geopolitical uncertainties, the exhibition proved its adaptability and received enthusiastic reviews from the participants. The sustainable development of the contacts made is now in the hands of the participating companies. The view of the Egyptian market remains expectant, and the experience gained will be used as a launch pad for future events and collaborations within the joint project, including the planned buyer’s trip to IFAT Munich 2024.

Projektförderung

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK), trAIDe GmbH organized a business initiation trip for German companies in cooperation with a local partner.

This is a project-related funding measure carried out as part of the market development program for SMEs. The primary target group consists of small and medium-sized German companies (SMEs).

In the future, business development trips will continue to be an effective way to open up excellent business opportunities for German companies across a variety of sectors. Products ‘Made in Germany’ generally enjoy an excellent reputation and are valued worldwide for their high quality.
