A delegation of innovative German companies from the security and defence sectors will travel to Helsinki on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). The participating German companies represent a broad spectrum of expertise, including solutions for:
civil protection | emergency response | surveillance | defence | critical-infrastructure security | cyber security | maritime security
The aim of the mission is to foster direct business contacts, exchange know-how, and explore new opportunities for German–Finnish cooperation.
Finnish companies are invited to meet the delegation at the presentation event and in pre-arranged B2B meetings on Tuesday, 21st of April, at Crowne Plaza Helsinki-Hesperia, Venue Töölö 3–5, Helsinki, Finland, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.

This business initiation trip to Finland focuses on the civil security and defence technologies sector and is therefore supported by the Export Initiative for Civil Security and Defence Technologies. The Export Initiative for Civil Security and Defence Technologies has formed part of the Economic Affairs Ministry’s SME Foreign Market Entry Programme since 2015. The aim of the initiative is to boost the international competitiveness of the German civil security and defence industry by providing targeted backing for exports. The focus is on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in Germany.
